This product is as kind of dark green crystal or crystal powder with copper light. It's odourless. It dissolves in water(1:25), in ethanol(1:65) (with blue colour) and in chloroform. but not in ether. Its water solution will be faded after adding dilute hydrochloric acid or zinc powder, but its colour will be reappeared in the air. And it can react with caustic alkali, dichromite, iodide, mercuric chloride and reduing agent, so it cannot be compatible with them.
Usage: It can be used as medicine to cure the cyanosis which caused by sulphanilamide(SN), and as detoxicant to detoxify the cyanide or nitrate, and as the diagnosis medicine to the function of the kidney.In chemical analysis it can be used as oxidation-reduction, adsorbent, and biological colouring agent. |
